We all want to make money. We need cash to buy the things we want and need. No matter how old you are, you want money to buy these things and you cant just sit around and expect to get money to fall into your lap. That isn't how life works. In today's world, you have to earn your money.

For a teenager, making money can seem difficult. For a lot of jobs, especially the ones that pay well, youre either too young, dont have enough or any experience, or you hate the job. So then how do you make money?

You can make some money as a teen. Here are some tips and ideas for teens to earn some money:

Follow the tried and true. Babysitting, mowing lawns, and washing cars might seem too simple, but you can make a lot of money from them. You just need to know what you are doing, do it well, and find clients. Tell everyone you know youre starting to baby-sit or youre shoveling driveways, and before you know it, youll have so many customers, you cant keep up! Once you have the customers, make sure you do an exceptional job so that you can keep them and get more customers through word of mouth. Remind them to tell their friends!

Sell what you know. Do you love to bake? Do you live near the local park? Why not try selling snacks. If you like to bake, you can sell cookies. If you are in a high traffic zone at a park, sell snacks and drinks.

Dont forget the power of the internet. You can sell stuff on ebay. If you have a lot of books that you want to get rid of, sell them on ebay. You can get rid of your junk and make some extra dough as well.

Search for a job. Though getting a job, especially when you are young, can be hard or grueling, it is the easiest way to make money. When you work for an employer, they have to pay you. When you have your own business, you arent necessarily going to get paid. If you are still young, try asking family or friends that have small businesses if you can help them out. When youre older check out supermarkets, retail stores, amusement parks, or any place that hires teens your age to get a job.
